After my first encounter with Kingdom at EGX 2015 I wanted to point you all in the right direction for a chance to sample some of the awesome pixel art visuals and atmospheric gameplay of Kingdom.

The original flash version of Kingdom is available to play right now at kingdom.noio.nl
"Wise Rulers know their kingdom will fall,
Brave Rulers do not despair.
Great Rulers know riches can rule,
And spend every coin with care."

King Of The Hill

You are the king and you will command your subjects to build and defend your kingdom day and night.

During the day your loyal subjects will toil to build within the kingdom.

By night Kingdom takes on a new dynamic as the Trolls come out to play and your subjects will defend the honour of your crown.

If the Trolls get hold of your crown then it is game over as no crown = no king.

A beautifully simple concept that is perfectly executed.

The visuals are beautiful pixel art and I fell in love with this game from minute one at EGX and hopefully by playing the flash game, you too will fall in love with it!

"In Kingdom, each coin spent can tip the balance between prosperity and decay. Attend to your domain, border to border, or venture into the wild to discover its wonders and its threats. Master the land, build your defenses, and when the darkness comes, stand with your people, crown on your head, until the very end."

Pixel Perfect Success
After the Flash game success the game devs for Kingdom set out to create a worthy successor.

YES Kingdom is a pixel art game, but they're not trying to make a retro video game.

The game is 2D pixel art with the utmost attention to detail. The aim is to try and make each scene into a unique pixel art painting.

The detail is not just for show it is also essential to enable you to learn the ropes on how to build, defend, and maintain YOUR Kingdom.
