Green Hell (Early Access)

Developer: Creepy Jar

Review by: Gareth ‘GazChap’ Griffiths
When I think of “green hell”, the first thing that springs to mind is the back garden at my house, in which there is a surprisingly large variety of flora and fauna, kept vaguely in check by the efforts of my ever-suffering wife and the frankly unexpected level of teamwork exhibited by our six cats.

I haven’t played the two previous games in the series but from what I can gather this is more of the same.

The Hero of the Kingdom series seems to be geared more towards causal players as the game has the faintest whiff of a story about it but the real focus here appears to be grinding and passing time, two factors that make me feel that this would be more at home on a tablet or phone than a PC.

💰🎮💰 How To Earn Money From Your Gaming Passion 💰🎮💰

Share This Post On Share to Facebook Share to Twitter Share This Post On

In pre-internet days, gaming was something we did to kick back and relax at the end of a busy day. From playing Monty Mole on our Commodores to playing Sonic on our Megadrives, we spent our hard-earned cash on games that would entertain us.

Then the internet arrived, and gaming changed forever. It allowed us to become more social, giving us the opportunity to play games online with people from around the world.

It gave us the opportunity to play downloadable games, allowing us to play games almost instantly (unless you were on dial-up), instead of having to trek to the High Street games store for something to play. And the internet gave us the opportunity to do something many obsessive gamers have always dreamed of: the ability to make money from gaming!

Phantom Doctrine

Review by: Gareth ‘GazChap’ Griffiths
As I’m sure many people reading this can relate to, I’ve always had a fascination with spy thrillers, no doubt started by watching one too many Bond movies as a kid and marvelling at how 007 manages to save the world time and again while wisecracking, raising eyebrows and bedding every woman that walks within 15 metres of him.

Procedurally generated games all have the same question hanging over them, ‘is the procedural generation there to cover up the fact that there was no time to design levels individually?’
It’s something that doesn’t really gel with me, I’ve had some good times with games that utilised procedural-generation as a main feature such as Nongunz and Last Encounter but for the most part my experience has been pretty negative and sadly, 99Floors suffers from the usual pitfalls of this particular design quirk.
