Games Freezer's Favourite YouTube Channels - #3 Rich 📼

Over the coming weeks, the team here at GF will be sharing their favourite gaming channels on YouTube.

Here are the channels that Rich keeps returning to!

These channels represent everything I love about gaming culture: authenticity, humour, and deep‑cut passion.

Any Austin

Any Austin’s thoughtful storytelling and creative lens remind me why games matter beyond mechanics. This guy puts so much effort into dissecting things that most wouldn't even think of.

Giant Bomb & Nextlander

Cut from the same cloth, Giant Bomb and Nextlander carry that old‑school camaraderie and wit that feels like hanging out with mates dissecting the latest release. I love them both because they invoke the video games magazine spirit of the 90s and noughties.

NoClip

NoClipDocs elevates the medium with beautifully crafted documentaries that celebrate developers and their craft. Danny O'Dwyer, for me, is one of the most respected voices in gaming, and the NoClip Crew are all so interesting to listen to [check out their podcast too, it's unmissable].

AVGN

AVGN is obviously one of the GOATs of YouTube that takes me to a special place from 20 years ago when YouTube Angry Video Games type gameplay videos were new [YES, AVGN is 20 Years old this year].

His videos still tap straight into my nostalgia vein with his encyclopaedic retro knowledge and fantastic B-movie style production in all of his videos. Lots of words have been written about AVGN, and I still love to settle down to some classics whenever I get a chance.

Remap Radio

Remap Radio keeps the conversation sharp, inclusive, and endlessly curious. Patrick Klepek is one of my favourite journalists from the video games scene, as he has been involved in Video Games media since he was about 16 and really knows his stuff.

Together, my YouTube pics form my own personal perfect mix of insight, nostalgia, and community — the kind of voices that make gaming feel like home.
