FastSnail 8 in 1 JoyCon Charging Dock for Nintendo Switch 1&2 - Review By Britt๐Ÿ•น️ "GF RECOMMENDED"

I believe that this this is the first time I’ve covered a product from FastSnail, and it’s a solid one to start off with! This is very much a ‘does what it says on the tin’ product, acting as a snazzy charging dock for your Joy-Cons, whether that be the Original Switch, or the Switch 2. You can even mix and match, as I do – for reasons described later in this article -it’s Ring Fit Adventure-related.

Currently priced at around the £15 mark, The FastSnail 8 in 1 Charging Dock is a sleek and practical way to keep your Joy-Cons charged and at the ready. Especially if you own both Switches and need to flit between them, as of course - due to the new magnetic lock design - you cannot physically attach original Switch Joy-Cons to the Switch 2, although they are pair-able with the system.

The product is quite light, and features four charging ports, into which you can plug any Joy-Con as they are universal ports for both systems. This FastSnail product can fully charge a dead Joy-Con in around 2.5-3 hours, and features LED indicators to illustrate the current battery situation, orange for charging – blue when fully charged.

The connection style is also satisfying here, it’s not too snug, making you feel like you are wrenching Joy-Cons around, but is a smooth experience that gives me comfort in knowing there’ll be no long-term issues with heavy use.

The design is also pleasing with the angle of the dock, rubber feet, and USB-C to USB cable (included) ensuring that whilst the product is light, it feels structurally solid with no movement when on your desk or table.

Aside from the LED lights, the only other splashes of colour on the dark-grey charging dock are the orange and blue port slot rims that highlight where controllers are to be inserted, overall it’s a very stylish design that isn’t needlessly flashy.

The FastSnail 8 in 1 Charging Dock really does solve a lot of problems in one product, for example – we as a family are getting back into Ring Fit Adventure again, but the Switch 2 Joy-Cons are not compatible with the titular ‘ring’, but I also don’t want to have my original Switch set up purely for this one thing – so the FastSnail instantly solves that issue for me in the simplest, most practical way.

SUMMARY
Whether you have Joy-Cons kicking around from the previous incarnation of the Switch, have spares in a drawer for multiplayer nights, or just have a big family / shared house and need a way to keep your Joy-Cons charged and ready for action, the FastSnail is a fantastic way to keep on gaming at a great price, GF Recommended!
