The Unofficial Sega Saturn Collection Author – David Cameron (not that one) ๐Ÿ“˜ #BookReview #Retrogaming

The Sega Saturn is a console that I very much have a personal history with. A unique library of games that was bursting with originality, and is very much a system I often play to this day. David Cameron’s Unofficial Sega Saturn Collection is designed as a coffee table book to be leafed through and enjoyed as the reader picks up some titbits on favourite games – and perhaps even discovers some new gaming gold as they peruse.

๐Ÿ•น️๐ŸŽฎ The Argos Catalogue & Video Games in the 1970s, 80s & 90s | A Trip Down Memory Lane ๐Ÿ•น️๐ŸŽฎ #RetroGaming @Argos_Online

Growing up in the UK as a kid during the 1970s, 80s and 90s meant that the Argos catalogue was a British kid's go-to piece of literature should you want to plan your next birthday or Christmas presents.

My first port of call was always the Video Games section which I looked at on a daily basis leading up to Christmas and Birthdays. My sister and I would play the Argos catalogue game where you would have to choose one item to buy from EVERY page and then initial it. I'd often end up having to circle and initial a duvet set that I didn't want to be followed by a Corby trouser press.

When we got to the Video Games section though the choice would be impossible to make as I was presented with all the latest video games related accessories and consoles!

My love for the Argos catalogue has carried on to this day and I still pick up a copy to circle items while playing the catalogue game.

Then something special happened recently when I stumbled across the Argos Book Of Dreams website which Argos have pulled together to make every Argos catalogue available online in a digital format! argosbookofdreams.co.uk

๐ŸŽฎ Retro-Bit Controller review: SEGA SATURN and TRIBUTE 64 ๐ŸŽฎ #RetroGaming @RetroBitGaming

Retro-Bit Controller review:

Sega Saturn Controller:

I’m a big fan of the Sega Saturn pads, having used them pretty much solidly for almost a quarter of a century.

That mouse-like shoulder button click and the way they feel so perfectly designed for your hands combined with how snugly they fit in the system itself makes them stand out as one of the best of the retro gamepads for me. Retro-Bit has gone with a straight-up clone of the original design here, with the added bonus of that classic Sega ‘creak’ being removed from the D-pad.
