When I was growing up, Birthdays meant one thing……A TRIP TO TOYS R US to buy whatever I wanted!

Okay, let me clarify that. A trip to Toys R Us to buy what I had been asking for as long as it wasn’t too dear.

Looking back on it now I was a lucky kid!

This yearly ritual made Toys R Us a thing of legend as I only visited the place once a year. It made that trip through Jeffrey Giraffe’s Toy Store a magical time indeed.

I’d watched the adverts and sung the song and every year I got to walk the hallowed aisles of Toys R Us in awe of everything on offer.

I often take a peek in the local Charity Shops for some retrogaming bargains. Often there is a deluge of Playstation 2 FIFA games and not much else. 

Sometimes there's the odd gem but mainly it's a bit of a let down. The best purchase I have made is a Game Cube for £5 and also I managed to find a Playstation 1 version of Street Fighter Alpha.

Then more recently I took a trip to a Charity Shop near work and was taking a peek at the books section when I came across a book called TV CREAM TOYS………………

It's nearly Christmas and at Christmas time I tend to be in a very nostalgic mood....

 

All this nostalgia got me thinking about the coolest toy shop in the world ever...
