Hailing from Raleigh, South Carolina, USA, Return to the Wild is the second in his series of rearranged Legend of Zelda music, with this album running the gamut from the blues rock of Tarrey Town to the wailing prog of Awaken.

The last couple of years have seen me getting more and more into video game music, resulting in covering the LVGO (London Video Game Orchestra - https://www.gamesfreezer.co.uk/2020/03/london-video-game-orchestra-classics.html) – pre-lockdown, natch – and embracing the releasing of soundtracks on vinyl (https://www.gamesfreezer.co.uk/2021/05/video-game-vinyl-britt-recommends.html / https://www.gamesfreezer.co.uk/2021/05/games-freezer-interviews-blipblop-vgm.html).

I wanted to write an article on two shows that really stood out to me over the last year…so I did.

🎻🎢 London Video game Orchestra: The Classics! – 23/02/2020 | "In summary…the London Video Game Orchestra rocks!" 🎻🎢 @lvgorchestra

Being the kind sort I am - and knowing the amount of time Faye has spent listening to orchestral versions of classic video game music on Spotify – I managed to snag a couple of tickets to this London Video Game Orchestra show when they were released at the tail end of 2019 and booked our hotel and travel plans way in advance.

I knew that the LVGO was an amateur orchestra who had formed in 2019 and had only previously played two shows, beyond that, I had no idea what to expect. I also admit that this was my first time seeing a live symphony orchestra, my only prior experience being seeing smaller orchestras playing alongside rock bands and vocalists so I was really excited to drink in the ambience.

☆ Video Games with The Best Soundtracks ☆

Share This Post On Share to Facebook Share to Twitter Share This Post On
When it comes to video games, most look to the graphics to determine if a game is playable or not and if it’s likely to be entertaining or not.

However, there are many other video games that do not just impress when it comes to graphics but whose impressiveness transcends to the soundtracks as well.

The following are such kind of games and they are accessible from NetBet Casino for those who want to try them and see if they are indeed the real deal.

Video Game music is an often overlooked or under estimated element to a video game.

Imagine Gameboy Tetris with another soundtrack! It just wouldn't be Tetris!
(would it?)

I like to think the video game and the music go hand in hand in order to deliver the game experience.
