☆ Voodoo Vince Remastered "Welcome to the Big Easy!" ☆

Voodoo Vince is a refreshing throwback to the 3D platform genre with enemy bashing, puzzle solving excitement that is reminiscent of Spyro or Rayman. Playing as Vince, a small burlap voodoo doll, you traverse the levels through New Orleans searching for Madame Charmaine who is basically your owner.
Vince has special voodoo powers that he can unleash to destroy enemies throughout the levels which usually consist of frogs and bugs. The evil Kosmo and his henchmen kidnap Charmaine and its up to you to find her and defeat Kosmo.

The level design in Voodoo Vince is spectacular and I'm not quite sure why this game was so unheard of when it originally was released in 2003.
There are many different collectibles throughout the levels which power up Vince including beads, hearts, skulls, and zombie dust. All of these items help Vince in a certain way and are usually easily obtained through various jumping skill puzzles and searching all parts of the level.

Voodoo Vince is really enjoyable, the levels are great, the soundtrack is excellent, the puzzles are just the right amount of difficulty to ensure that you don't get too frustrated but you have to work for the end result.
You will encounter bosses throughout the levels that can usually only be defeated by solving a small puzzle while avoiding the bosses attack.
Can you make it through the big easy to save Madame Charmaine and defeat the evil Kosmo?

All in all, Voodoo Vince is a fantastic platformer and is a must play if you want that nostalgic kick back to the early days of advanced video games when they were extremely fun and rewarding to play by yourself. I recommend picking up the remastered version on Steam, it really is a must have for any fan of the genre. If I had to rate it, I'd easily give it a 9/10.
