Like most kids of the 80s and 90s I grew up watching Arnold Schwarzenegger movies and then playing the associated video game tie in. Common knowledge is that these movie tie ins were of varying degrees of good and often were awful. But as a kid who was often in a video games shop with a five pound note to spend all I had to go on was the box art and the name of the game. In my head this meant if it was Arnie film tie in then it had a good chance that it might be good.....right?
Any way recently I started digging up some old Arnie related video games using Moby Games and a list from Wikipedia of all of Arnie's films and I started to begin pulling together a nice list of all the Arnie films and the associated video game tie ins.
So sit back and 'let off some steam (Bennett)' as I take you through some of the Arnie gems and rotten apples that I found on my Arnie nostalgia trip.

This really hits home for anyone who grew up in that era, standing in a game shop judging everything by box art and a famous name. Those Arnold tie-in games were a gamble in themselves, sometimes you got something memorable, other times it was painfully bad, but the excitement was part of the fun. That feeling isn’t so different from how entertainment works today, where people mix nostalgia with a bit of risk for enjoyment. I know a few retro gaming fans who unwind after a session by checking out a casino platform, comparing odds, trying a few slots, or placing small betting picks just for the thrill rather than chasing big winnings. In that sense, places like basswin casino fit naturally into the same mindset, you go in knowing it’s about entertainment first, with the uncertainty adding to the experience much like those old Arnie games did back then.
