Until about a month ago I was a "Reddit Virgin"

I'd heard of the site but didn't really understand the concept

I'd visited it before and didn't quite "get it"

It had seemed kind of amateurish and I wondered at the time "Why are so many people enthralled by Reddit?"

Well, i'm glad to say i've discovered the Video Games Communities and "Now I Get It!"

Growing up I couldn't get enough of the Fighting Fantasy Novels by Steve Jackson & Ian Livingstone....

I'd buy the latest book from the local book shop and then hole up in my room with a dice and a piece of paper and play the hell out of that book.

It felt like they were endlessly re-playable / re-readable.

They were the books that really got me into playing role playing video games as I always wanted to be able to recreate those experiences on a computer screen....

Get Your Graph Paper Out! It's Video Game Map Time!

Inspired by my recent post about "MAPSTALGIA" I have started to lay some plans for a Kickstarter campaign to publish a book that is solely a showcase for various hand drawn Video Games Maps.

Last year I backed the "Artcade" Kickstarter project that showcased the Arcade Art from a whole host of classic arcade marquees and I figure that there are plenty more Retro Gaming geeks, Nerds and freaks like myself who would back a similar style book but this time on the classic art of Hand Drawn Video Games Maps....
