☆ Timewarp Arcade - Bridgwater - "Let’s do the Timewarp (arcade) again." ☆ #Retrogaming

I wrote an article on the very awesome Timewarp arcade in Bridgwater, Somerset last year (http://www.gamesfreezer.eu/2017/10/britts-bridwater-bender-at-time-warp.html), I originally visited as part of a friend’s stag weekend and completely fell in love with the place and its retro gaming charms.
Even as we travelled back to Cardiff from that trip, we all decided that we wanted to go back as soon as possible.
Finally, after a busy winter, we had all managed to find gaps in our schedules make time to head back and once again, it was a great experience.

I’ve been recently watching things with my eyes in regards to retro gaming collecting being ‘dead’.
Of course, these are merely clickbait titles in relation to how, since retro gaming has exploded in the last few years with conventions,  officially launched consoles specialising in retro games (NES / SNES mini etc.), high-street stores selling retro gaming clothing and accessories etc.
Retro gaming has become essentially more of a valid commodity as it gets absorbed into the mainstream culture.

Sega and Nintendo, two big rival companies back in the early 90s. If you wanted to play Sonic the Hedgehog you had to own or borrow a Sega Mega Drive and if you wanted to play Super Mario world you had to own or borrow a Super Nintendo.
After all these years it is now possible to play Sonic the Hedgehog on the Super Nintendo by using something called RetroGen adaptor.

I'm lucky enough to consider the nice dudes over at Arcade Attack as Friends Of The Freezer.
Recently Dylan from Arcade Attack suggested that he would love to write an article for Games Freezer!
Needless to say, I was super excited about this prospect as it was to be a Dylan Bio on his gaming background (these are the articles I love the most!)
Recently Dylan's article popped into the Freezer and I am glad to say Dylan didn't disappoint!!

"Chun Li Looks Good For 48 Years Old!!"

When you come across the amount of awesome people I do within the video games community you tend to want to know their background and how they originally got into video gaming.

My favourite stories from people are the ones where they reminisce about early video games memories as I just love to wallow in the nostalgia of being blown away by a NES, SNES or SEGA Mega Drive.

To me and a whole generation of awesome dudes and dudettes these were the formative years of our love affair with video games.

Today I would like to introduce you all the Bethany who is the latest member of the Games Freezer family.

Bethany has agreed to share with us all her video games life story so far and I know a lot of this will bring smiles to all those people who were 80's & 90's kids....
