Developed by Dead Mage and published by 11 Bit Studios, Children Of Morta is a beautifully crafted pixel art inspired hack n slash action RPG that has procedurally generated dungeons and bags of character and style.

This game simply oozes class from minute one.

🍩 Heave Ho - REVIEW (Switch) - "...Swing when you’re winning" 🍩 #GameDev #IndieGames

Developer Le Cartel’s previous game was the uber-violent, side-scrolling drug-fuelled brawler Mother Russia Bleeds, a fantastic game (especially in local co-op, natch) filled with faeces-throwing, vomiting and face-stomping.

HEAVE HO, their next title takes the natural next step of being a physics-based party game. Good!

⚔️ Decay Of Logos - REVIEW "trailers may make it appear to have Zelda: Breath of the Wild qualities" ⚔️ #IndieGames #GameDev

Decay of Logos is a good game but it’s a good game for a very specific type of player.

Whilst trailers may make it appear to have Zelda: Breath of the Wild qualities, the ‘reviewer’s guide’ included with the review copy (genuinely well-written, succinct and handy) paints a truer picture of the game in that it has more in common with the Dark Souls series in its design and approach.

Playing like an Indie version of Mario Maker (MM) with a fantastical ancient Greek theme, Million to One Hero (MTOH) adds a twist on things by also throwing in the ability to add a narrative to your tale, something which works well and adds depth to your created adventures.

πŸ·πŸ”πŸΊ Hotline Miami Collection - Nintendo Switch - REVIEW - "Still hot but slightly chilled" πŸΊπŸ”πŸ· #GameDev #IndieGames

I originally played the first Hotline Miami game on my PS Vita several years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, although I never got around to the sequel. re-playing the game now, it is clear that the magic is still there and the ability to have both games in one place is a nice feature but there are some things about the collection that detract from the experience.

If you're one of those people who thought Monster Hunter could do with more of a Devil May Cry aesthetic, over-the-top anime cutscenes, and needlessly large NPC boobs, then do I have a treat for you.

The game features Evander Holyfield and over 28 imaginary fighters.

It uses 2D sprites seen from a side-on view, combined with a top-down map of the ring, to allow boxers to move 360 degrees about the ring.

Watch me take a pounding from Albright!!

The Isle Of Wight is my happy place when it comes to UK Holidays.

Firstly the place is beautiful and totally laid back.

Secondly, there's still lots of lovely Arcade Machines knocking about which means that I can have some fun in Amusement Arcades aside from the usual sea of grab machines and penny pushers.

In honour of my holiday to the Wight Isle here are some pics of two IOW destinations where I found some cool arcade machines.

Are Today's Cartoon Games To Blame For Violence?

Share This Post On Share to Facebook Share to Twitter Share This Post On
Cartoon games have been given a rough ride as of late. The media seems to paint the picture of games as the villain. They have been blamed for exposing children to violence. But this is a very one-sided image. To completely blame cartoon games for showcasing violence would be vastly unfair. In fact, some people would go as far as to say that games are not responsible for this at all. And, if you delve a little bit deeper then you may find that you agree with this.

All rubbish.

I hadn’t heard of The Church in the Darkness before receiving it for review but the trailer, voice cast (Ellen McLain - GLaDOS of Portal fame and her real-life husband John Patrick Lowrie) as well as the premise of secretly making your way through a cult to rescue your nephew) really grabbed me.
