Bang On Balls - Chronicles Nintendo Switch Review

Are you looking for a thrilling 3D game that you can enjoy with your friends?

If so, then Bang-On Balls: Chronicles may be just what you need.

It is a unique, content-packed, open-world sandbox adventure that offers multiple elements such as combat, platforming, character customization, and a scavenger hunting experience.

The game begins on a movie set, where you can explore and find various activities to engage in, such as arcades, gyms, and more. From there, you can travel to different worlds like space, Vikings, Japan, Pirates, and Kraken. Each world presents specific challenges that you must complete before facing the main boss. These challenges can involve collecting coins, canisters, and other items. As you progress through each world, you can collect cool outfits, accessories, weapons, and even a pet that follows you around.

All these items can be found on and off the land, making it a fun scavenger hunt experience, you can even change your character's appearance by using makeup chairs dotted around the islands, which is a great feature when playing with friends.

One of the best aspects of this game is that it is easy to get side-tracked and explore the world or engage in fights, making it an enjoyable experience. The game is suitable for families, friends, couples, or even solo play, however, it is best enjoyed with friends for maximum excitement.

The graphics are of excellent quality, clear, and clean with no lagging issues. The controls are easy to understand and use, with simple actions like rolling, jumping, attacking, and fast-attacking rolls.

While using the camera feature, I have observed that it can become difficult to navigate through narrow areas occasionally as the camera tends to fade into the surroundings like walls, water, and mountains, making it challenging to perceive the environment around you. Some improvements in the camera functionality would make a huge difference and give the game more fluidity.

Also, there was a glitch that happened in our run-through, which stopped us from going through a door, which meant that we had to start again. When searching online to see if anyone else had suffered this problem, there was nothing mentioned so I do think this was luckily a rare bug.

Overall, Bang-On Balls: Chronicles is an exciting, fast-paced game that is perfect for couples and friends who want to spend a spare hour messing around.

As I mentioned you will have to get used to the camera angle issues, it does get a little annoying now and again but nothing too big that it can ruin the game.

I would give this a solid 8/10 rating, it's super fun and engaging!
