🐸🧙♂️ Frog Detective 2: The Case of the Invisible Wizard "Pies & Party Hats!" 🧙♂️🐸 #GameDev #IndieGames
In Frog detective 2 you’re a Frog detective sent to nose around in the woods and attempt and solve a case involving an invisible wizard and welcome parade.
It’s an adventure mystery video game set in one location. You’ll use your magnifying glass and your notebook to solve the case and you’ll have heaps of fun doing it as the hilarious writing is the biggest draw in this game.

🕯️⚔️ Rift Keeper | Review | PS4 | "Rogue-Rogue-Rogue Your Boat" ⚔️🕯️ #GameDev #RiftKeeper #IndieGames
"A Rogue-like title that is initially interesting and atmospheric but ends up feeling too unrewarding to really stick with."
Rift Keeper casts you as a mysterious, masked man doomed to travel through various portals in a bid to battle his way through multiple dungeons…which will take a while.
A game which has hints of Castlevania in its medieval-gothic-fantasy setting – as well as the initial starting weapon being a whip – the rogue-like mechanics, unfortunately, ground me down rather quickly.

🕵️♂️ THE UNCLEARNESS | REVIEW | PC | "A Bad Case Of Google Translate" 🕵️♂️ #GameDev #IndieGames
You play the role of Stan Ingram which is a great name for the hero of a game that I feel will get a cult following for all the wrong reasons.
Stan is a private detective who is investigating a suicide case in a dystopian future which is set in 2080.
This game is hard to categorise but I’m going with Action Adventure for now until I’m proven otherwise.
The Steam listing goes with Action Indie Violent Nudity Adventure RPG!

⚔️🦁 Story of a Gladiator | REVIEW | "A wobbling, sideways thumb from the Emperor" ⚔️🦁 #GameDev #IndieGames
Story Of A Gladiator is a 2D arena fighter that’s fun for a while with great presentation and some tense moments but feels too much like a time killer to be a must-play title.
Story of a Gladiator sets the tone straight away, when your family is taken away from you and your home is destroyed, the player character is then reduced to being a lowly alcoholic beggar.
After some serious self-pitying, you decide to make your fame and fortune in the bloodstained sands of the arena. And so, in a city under Roman rule, you must hack and slash your way into the annals of history.

🐷🎾 Pig Eat Ball | REVIEW | " A Hidden Piggy Tennis Gem!" 🐷🎾 #GameDev #IndieGames
When thinking of Pig Eat Ball imagine a game that puts you in control of a pig in disguise as she attempts to suck up tennis inside a clam in order to win pearls and open up more areas of the game map all accompanied by a thumping soundtrack and bat shit crazy psychedelic visuals with an overtone of Hotline Miami and Monty Python.

🚀🛰️ Everspace | REVIEW | PC | "Die To Win" 🚀🛰️ #GameDev #IndieGame
Everspace is a roguelike single-player game where you fly a spaceship and there is a story, told through flashbacks.
In Everspace, you have to die to succeed. Sounds weird but it’s true! When you die you can use your credits to buy upgrades and even new ships to go back and get farther than the last time.

🕹️🎮 The Argos Catalogue & Video Games in the 1970s, 80s & 90s | A Trip Down Memory Lane 🕹️🎮 #RetroGaming @Argos_Online
Growing up in the UK as a kid during the 1970s, 80s and 90s meant that the Argos catalogue was a British kid's go-to piece of literature should you want to plan your next birthday or Christmas presents.
My first port of call was always the Video Games section which I looked at on a daily basis leading up to Christmas and Birthdays. My sister and I would play the Argos catalogue game where you would have to choose one item to buy from EVERY page and then initial it. I'd often end up having to circle and initial a duvet set that I didn't want to be followed by a Corby trouser press.
When we got to the Video Games section though the choice would be impossible to make as I was presented with all the latest video games related accessories and consoles!
My love for the Argos catalogue has carried on to this day and I still pick up a copy to circle items while playing the catalogue game.
Then something special happened recently when I stumbled across the Argos Book Of Dreams website which Argos have pulled together to make every Argos catalogue available online in a digital format! argosbookofdreams.co.uk

🏆🗓️ Britt’s Game Of The Year 2019 (& Most Disappointing) 🏆🗓️ #GOTY2019
2019 has been another great year in my gaming career, with a lot of quality titles released. Aside from some real indie classics (my true love), there were also some larger budget titles that caught my eye that I’m happy to include here as games that stuck in my head for 2019… and also a couple that stayed with me for reasons that *ahem* aren’t ideal.
