Look Out For Door 19!

It's got a load of Light Guns behind it!
The light gun has been around for a long while now and we've seen a whole host of different light gun peripherals over the years.

Some good, some not so good.

My Light Gun journey started back in the late 80's when i got a light gun bundled with my first computer, the Atari 800 XEGS and since then I have sampled many a light gun moment.

Personally I love a good light gun and so here's my list of my own personal faves from down the years along with a game or two to enjoy with each light gun.

Enjoy, My Gun Toting friends!

1. G-Con 45 (PS1) with Time Crisis

Awesome looking sturdy light gun with probably my favourite light gun franchise is a must for any light gun fanatic.

This game and gun was the first time I felt I was playing the arcade at home.

2. Wii Remote + Nunchuck (Wii) with Resident Evil 4

The Wii was built for light gun experiences and never before had the experience felt so visceral. The first head shot on a Zombie using the Wii Remote & Nunchuck is unforgettable.

3. Atari 800 XEGS Lightgun (Atari 800) with Bug Hunt

I'm staying loyal to my Atari 800 roots with Bug Hunt and the XEGS Lightgun.
This was my first taste of light gun goodness and Bug Hunt took many hours of my life as a little gamer. I wonder what it plays like today? I'm not sure it has aged well.....

4. Nintendo Zapper (NES) with Duck Hunt

It's almost the law that you need to include the NES Zapper with Duck Hunt any Light Gun list, so here it is! It's an iconic Lightgun game with man versus Duck at its core.

5. Stunner (SEGA Saturn) with Virtua Cop

Virtua Cop was for me the game that made me want to play a SEGA Saturn. I've always loved Virtua Cop and the SEGA Saturn version is sublime. An absolute winner.

That's My Top 5 Light Guns & Games
