Last Week we gave you an insight into the wonderful world of Epic Manager with a look at the Kickstarter Campaign that has just launched.

Epic Manager as you'll recall is a daring new genre hybrid of RPG & Management Sim.... in essence its an RPGMS (not sure if that acronym will kick off but hey!)

Since it's launch things have started really positively as the games press has got right behind the project.....

The backers have been coming in steadily with the current total pledged with 23 days left is around the $12,000 mark...and counting...

I adore the Bioshock games. They put you on edge and make you feel that your character is indeed mortal and underpowered (initially) against the in game characters. 

The Bioshock Games make you work hard for your right to exist in the game world and when you succeed it makes it all the sweeter.....

We came across this cool Kickstarter for the Proven Lands Video Game a while back and have been meaning to write about it for an absolute age!

Now we've come around to put pen to paper it's only gone and been cancelled!!

But interestingly enough the project was actually cancelled with a whopping £23k of funding behind it.....

The only problem was, the goal was a whopping £299k!

The project was cancelled in order to have a rethink of the strategy employed to get this beauty off the ground......

So Whilst doing our usual rounds on Twitter we stumbled across this cool looking indie video game from Rittenhouse called dreamroom

Naturally we were hypnotised by the beautiful use of Pixel Art in the screenshots that are on display at the dreeamroom website 

Apart from the beauty of the Pixel Art we havn't got much to go on apart from the following description from the website.......

The Trese Brothers are excited to announce the release of their first major expansion to the turn-based tactics RPG, Heroes of Steel which we have covered in some detail on Games Freezer previously

Heroes of Steel is a tactics RPG inspired by classic board games like HeroesQuest and games like Final Fantasy Tactics and Shining Force.  

In the exciting Second Episode, “The Gathering Shadow”, your heroic group travels into the 'Eastern Underdeep' to face some new challenges and to hunt down some old enemies. 

This new expansion doubles the size of the already sprawling and in depth world of Steel.

Episode 2 sees your group venture into lava caverns and into the highlands of the east where you face Ice and Stone Trolls, crazed Cultists worshipping a spider god and legions of Orcin led by devious shamans.

 

One of the key features of Episode 2 is the the monster intelligence systems which forces you to alter your tactics you perfected in Episode 1. 

Progression through The Gathering Shadow sees you gain access to new and powerful Talents - such as the Wizard’s Firestorm, the Cleric’s Banishment, and the Outlander’s Juggernaut which in the previous instalment were previously locked behind Level 18. 

The shops of the four new towns, and treasure hoards of the 20 new dungeons along with hundreds of new weapons, armor and items mean that you can keep your party equipped with all the equipment they will need....

 The Heroes Of Steel Episode 2 story unfolds as you battle through dungeons and steer your group to confront difficult political issues as well as the small matter of the fight on the battlefield!

Having first noticed this Indie Zombie Survival Game on The Dead Years FaceBook Page We Fell In Love With The Style Of This Game Immediately.

 

Then we found out that it's actually an Open World Zombie Survival Horror Game and that got us intrigued even more.....as we can't get enough of Open World games that just ooze atmosphere.....

 

So we went in search of more info to wet our appetite.......

Here's what we have found out so far....

Dead Years is an zombie survival game that takes place six months after the Zombie outbreak. 

You are cast as one of the remaining survivors of the outbreak.

You will be exploring the wastelands with man's best friend ,your faithful dog!

Essentially the game will consist of Exploring & Scavenging all in the name of Survival. 

There will be hundreds of beautiful locations to discover much like the amazing screenshots attached.

The open world element will see you walking along abandoned highways, going downtown in all sorts of cities aswell as exploring the zombie infested countryside IF YOU DARE! 

We absolutely love the graphic novel style graphics from the screenshots we have seen so far, it really seems to add to the atmosphere.....we are guessing that The Walking Dead has been an inspiration here.....What Do You Think?

Of course you will need Ammunitions, Canned Food and Weapons and they will have to be scavenged for in order to survive in the deadly zombie infested wastelands. 

A cool feature of the game is the ability to actually craft your own armour with the materials you can find which will help you survive any Zombie attack (assuming your home-made armour is up to the task!)

So where does Fido come into this? Your dog is part of your survival team. He's a canny partner and he knows how to go toe to toe (Paw to Flakey Limb) with those vicious zombies!  He’s your secret weapon in this daily fight to survive as he's quick, stealthy, & deadly.  You'll also get the opportunity level him up through skill trees available just for your Pooch. You'll get to teach him the abilities you think will be most valuable in your quest to survive. You can make the choice as to whether he's an attack dog who fights at your side or maybe you will opt to train him as a stealth assassin who will take out the enemies without being detected. The key to this relationship is that you will work together in order to survive each day in the Deadly Environment Of Dead Years.

The Dead Years Team are tirelessly working on this project and will be releasing more info as time goes on, we just can't wait to see what the next batch of screenshots and features will look like and we just can't wait to get our hands on this beauty!

You all know that we are suckers for any games that utilise pixels in the retro style, you could say that we are a slave to the pixel!

Well this game ticks all our boxes and makes us all a quiver with excitement!

Sewer Tea is a pixel adventure being worked on by kuznetsovsky that takes place in a fictional universe where Earth is now controlled by an extraterrestrial group called The Milenarians.

In the game a group has been created by the Milenarian Rebels who oppose the government beliefs. 

The rebel group have taken over an underground facility and now they have released a virus known as 

"Sewer Tea. City #00829" the virus has mutated most of the inhabitants which has turned them into an army of mutants which will need to be battled!

Sewer Tea's gameplay will see you walk into a survival rampage against dozens of different enemies throughout a retro Pixelated GameBoy-esque World!

 

You are cast on a quest to save mankind from the chemical threat that has originated from the underground laboratory.

The Government of the Milenarians have drafted you to the quarantined zone to find and secure the lead scientist involved in the creation of Sewer Tea

You get to Fight your way deeper into the crazy Gameboy-like randomly generated worlds as the story develops
